New Years Fitness Goals. Getting Ready

December 6, 2015

Weight Scale// 3D Digital Pedometer//

Shoes {very similar} //water bottle from Primark {other options here and here}

Hi ya’ll! Its December and that means holiday parties, desserts and tons of food!! Yes the excitement is real! haha but let face it, in less than 30 days is 2016 and those extra pounds hit you right in the face… So why not start with your fitness goals since now, don’t wait until January 1st to start the diet, because really cutting cold-turkey as they say is going to be harder.

My strategy is getting all the tools ready for my fitness goals, and my two favorites latest finds are, this really cool total weight scale from Ozeri, the weight scale can immediately calculate your muscle and body mass, also your body fat and weight, is so slick cool looking that even looks good in you bathroom; I really like that is goes beyond just telling you the weight so you don’t freak out like me when we feel leaner but the numbers don’t go down and its all because you are gaining muscle. I also got a 3D Digital pedometer, its super small and easy to carry with you and let me tell you it will be the best investments you will make, it not only tracks how many steps you have done during the day but also the calories burned and all based on your weight and height, and its been a week since I started to use it and you will see me going for that extra walk at night with my little Valentino so I can accumulate more steps hahaha! I walk so much in London that its really a perfect way to count your burnt calories a day.

Obviously I can’t leave behind some cool fashion pieces, Love this Nike sneakers {I want this next} so soft and light, perfect for walking around town, and when I can you will see me wearing my Lululemon wonder under, they are pricey but they will last you for a while! Now, Its the time to get all you tools ready for your fitness goals of 2016, so when January 1st arrives there are no excuses! Whose with me? Until next time…

Love,

Paola

———————————————-

Hola!!

Besos,

Paola

Disclosure: I was invited to review some items from Ozeri. No monetary compensation has been received for this post. As always, all opinions are my own. Promise!

L’occitane Creme Perfectrice

November 22, 2015

As promised, Lets talk about the Creme Perfectrice de L’occitane, I got a 7 day deluxe sample a couple of weeks ago after signing up for it online { I personally feel its a great way to test a product, not that I expect a miracle within days but just to see how superficially it would feel on the skin}, and I have to say this moisturizer is being so lovely on my combination skin. With my move to London and its weather, my skin is all over the place sometimes I have dry patches, which is a first for my normally oily skin, then I would go back to oily and I could feel like it need it to be hydrated, after using the moisturizer for a week morning and night, my skin feels plump and bright no more dry patches, It really gives it a glow and it has help to improve the texture of it, I’m really loving it.

The moisturizer promises to leave your skin feeling smooth, soft and velvety and to reduce your pores, fine lines and imperfections, although I do think is too soon for me to say something about helping with fine lines and pore reduction, I do think is does the work with making your skin feeling soft and velvety.  The Creme Perfectrice does have a scent, I really like it but I do love rose and peony scents so if that’s a problem for you this might not be the one for you to try. In the morning I just wash my skin and then I put the moisturizer before my SPF and makeup and at night I use it every other nigh combining it with my Artemis oil by Sunday Riley {Another fave! read my review about it if you haven’t}.
I would definitely give it a shoot if you are looking for a new moisturizer, it’s really a fantastic formula! Until next time…

Love,

Paola

November Must-Haves

November 7, 2015

The year is almost over, are you feeling the Christmas spirit already? I’m loving it! But my skin is lost with this cold weather, I got a deluxe sample of  L’occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting cream and it’s great, I’ll do a blog post about it next week so stay tuned, because it is worth it, my skin is loving it! I’m really enjoying the Rose hand cream also from L’occitane, I like the scent and texture on my hands. I keep looking for bags that can carry a lot but are perfect for walking around and this shopper bag from madewell looks perfect for it {use code FALLREVAMP for 25% until Monday Nov, 9th!}, there are a few different colors but I love the dark grey one, It’s a be very versatile color.

Now can we talk about this faux-leather pants from Saint Laurent? So rockstar, so statement {here’s a more affordable option}. I love tartan/plaid print for the fall, and the Marc by Marc Jacobs scarf it’s super cool and a bit different from the traditional red color ones {here a super affordable option from Boohoo}. Two pieces from H&M, because they are fantastic, and a must have for me are Sweater/jumpers like this one, the slouchier the better, simple! Also this cape is stylish and functional so its a good buy.  I had to add this lovely candle called Liquid Amber from Diptyque, is a new scent specially for the holidays, and smells so good, a mixture of cinnamon, sugar, and musk, perfect for the cold weather and to make your place feel cozy and yummy. I hope you have a beautiful month, Happy November! Until next time.

Love,

Paola

Me encanta!

September Must Haves = Back to School Edition

September 5, 2015

Hi!! cheers from the lovely and gloomy London! I just moved here and its been crazy!! I’ll spare you the details but lets just say it has been a real challenge. Back to the fun part, Fashion!! It’s back to school {or internship in my case} for most of us, so I picked a few items that I know we all need for this crazy end of summer now- its fall weather! The sleeveless jacket from River Island its a cool basic to add to your wardrobe, you can wear it with a sweater or even a dress for a chic and dressy outfit. One piece I just got is this Ralph Lauren sweater and I love it! It’s actually a men’s sweater but sometimes I prefer the style since its more of a loose and structured fit.

One of my fave things is brand new notebooks and agendas, this one and this agenda from Kate Spade are must haves for me. I had to add this phone case from kate Spade too, Love thats rose color, love that the back is a mirror with an imprint “Pretty little thing”, because why not you get a compliment on the way haha! One thing my group mates know is my phone was always running out of battery in class lol so I had to get a portable charger, the Rebecca Minkoff gold and black its functional + cute = perfect! You need that perfect bag for back to school {more like always need the perfect one 😉 } and I’m obsess with this one by Madewell & The Cambridge Satchel Company Tote, love the color, the style, everything! Finally lets talk about shoes, I have never had so many sneakers in my life, but they are cute now, the New Balance 696 shoes are so cool and perfect for my taste, they are sporty and stylist and I think having them in blue is a great basic color and goes with light or dark clothes. Until next time!

Love,

Paola

——————————–

Monaco On a Budget. The Food

August 11, 2015

#MonacoDV

Lets be honest, the French Riviera is not know for being a budget friendly destination, and Monaco is definitely not an exception. But it’s a beautiful little country and a must stop if you go to the south of France! I had the opportunity to live in the area while doing my master’s degree and it was fantastic, not going to lie, quite hard to do a lot of fun stuff on a budget but we managed, I think!! And I wanted to give you some tips of places to eat and things to see that are either on a budget or free, because believe it or not they do exist! Lets start talking about the options for food in this post, spending 100 euros in a dinner is easy, really easy, but there are options of restaurants to go where you don’t have too, or places to get food that going out of budget won’t be a problem during your visit to Monaco.

Tip 1. Happy Hour!! It never fails!! I Google a lot when I got there to find places to go for happy hour, but I wasn’t finding anything, It was after being in school and walking around that I found quite a few, but my Favorites are Brasserie de Monaco, Stars n’Bars Star Deck, Jacks, and Son of a Bun {which was my hubby favorite burger in town!} Happy hour start from 5 or 6 pm to 8 or 9 pm, half price drinks and half price food or happy hour menu its perfect!

Tip 2. You have to go to area of the Casino de Monte Carlo and stop by for a coffee at the Cafe De Paris, and yes its pricey, so go for a coffee or cappuccino, It’s still more than a Starbucks or your regular priced coffee in a bakery but you get to sit down in the cute tables and people watch with the view of the Casino de Monte Carlo and the Hotel de Paris. During the summer Morelli’s the gelato shop opens at the Cafe de Paris and its so yummy, and you can always go sit at the park in front to the shops or walk around Monte Carlo.

Tip 3. Go to the local bakeries and/or the supermarket and get food there, Carrefour, Casino and Marche U are your supermarket options in Monaco and you can get ready made sandwiches, pizza, and in Carrefour they had this delicious potatoes with truffle oil, that I’m sure my classmates know what I’m talking about! My fave hahaha!

Let me know if you have any questions about the area, I would more than happy share with you what I know and if you want to go for a fancy lunch or dinner the options are endless and that would require a longer post haha! Until next time!

Love,

Paola

————————————–

Tip 1.El Happy Hour {Hora Feliz} nunca falla!!

Paola

Explore Monaco with Me

July 20, 2015

Happy Monday! This post was so overdue because I just didn’t know where to start, so I decided to do a series of posts about it, and this is the intro to my experience living in the Monaco area for seven months!! Time went by fast, and living on a student budget for sure wasn’t easy, but I love to write this blog posts because when I was moving to Monaco I couldn’t find much real information online in English or Spanish about people living there or bloggers visiting, which is surprising because it is such an “International Destination” and truly lots of people speaks english, and there are students an young people everywhere.

I went to the International University of Monaco for a Master’s in Luxury Management of goods and services, and what better place to study Luxury than Monaco right? My classmates where awesome! {I really miss them all!} and I can really say I made some really good friends for life, the school is inside the stadium of the AS Monaco Football club {soccer for Americans ;)}, when I heard that I was like huh? but it all works outs perfectly.

Monaco its a beautiful tiny country, where you can move from one corner to the other in probably in an hour by walking, and the fantastic part is the public transportation is excellent so you can use the bus to move around perfectly {one ride is 2 Euros but get a pass if you are there for the day or longer}, so I didn’t have to worry about not having a car, well unless you want to party since the night busses are sporadic, better get a taxi to go home if you don’t want to walk after dancing the night away! {so painful in heels!! } I’m adding some pictures here but stay tune to my next week post about some cool places to eat and things to see in the beautiful Monaco! until next time…

Love,

Paola.

———————————-

Paola.

My July 2015 Must Haves

July 8, 2015

How hot is the weather where you live? In Miami I’m melting!!! It’s so hot in here I can’t even think when I’m walking outside hahaha, so I picked items that complement what I already have and will work with shorts and mini skirts or mini dresses {my daily wear right now!}. I have to start with jewelry, and one of my fave designers is Jennifer Zeuner {she’s from my main city, Boca Raton, Fl!}, I love all her dainty pieces and this necklace is perfect to wear for day or night, also a must have is a good stack of bracelets, and the Astley Clarke Rock N Roll nugget bracelet make it all look fabulous and effortless.

I have to add some wedges, because after living in the South of France for so long and walking everywhere with flats, I need to get back into heels smoothly, and the ones from Jeffrey Campbell called “Rodillo-Hi” are perfect for casual or light dressy. I picked two tops one flowy and very boho from Free People {and it has stripes that I love!} and this funny one from Barber, Isn’t it hilarious!? I couldn’t not pick it. Lastly, one of my favorites hair products line Oribe, this spray is amazing!! kinda on the pricey side but worth every penny, leaves your hair shinny and just beautiful, also the scent is just gorgeous!!! Which ones are your favorites for July? Would love to hear your picks! Until next time…

Love,

Paola.

—————————————

Love,

Paola.
